Terms and Conditions

By accessing, browsing, and completing transactions through this website, you fully acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.


Shipping

Domestic orders are shipped by the customer’s choice via USPS, FedEx, or DHL. International orders are shipped via FedEx or DHL. International shipping fees are calculated by order weight and packaging requirements, and may include additional costs. All orders may include an additional handling charge. Orders are generally shipped Tuesday – Friday. All shipping times are estimates and not guaranteed.


We are not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged shipments. Customers are responsible for paying additional shipping and handling fees to have the order re-shipped, if available. The buyer assumes all responsibility for claims made with the shipping carrier. Shipping times are estimated, and are not guaranteed. We cannot guarantee arrival dates once your package is in the possession of the carrier.


International Duty and Tax

Any and all import duties and taxes (i.e. VAT fees, etc.) are the responsibility of the customer. The buyer assumes all responsibility for claims made with the shipping carrier.


Donations

Your support allows MOCAD to fulfill its mission. Donations and other contributions to the Museum through the MOCAD Store are non-refundable and tax deductible to the extent of the law. For questions about supporting the Museum, please contact info@mocadetroit.org.


RETURNS

If you would like to make a return, take a look at our policies below. We want to make sure you’re completely happy with your purchase. If there’s anything we can do to improve your experience, please contact us at store@mocadetroit.org.

Return Policy

We’ll accept return requests for items that are unopened, unused, and with the original tags still intact. The product(s) must be in their original packaging, if applicable, in the same condition it was received. We are not responsible for, and do not issue refunds for any goods which were lost, stolen, or damaged while in transit – please see our shipping policy above. We do not accept returns for perishable items, intimate items, gift cards, downloadable products, and beauty items.

If you wish to return your item, we must receive your request within 15 days of the date you received your item.

 

Return Shipping

Domestic Orders: After you’ve submitted a return request to store@mocadetroit.org, we will send you a PDF of a return shipping label. Please print it out and affix to your package. You are responsible for paying for the return shipping costs. We will deduct the cost of return shipping from your refund.

International Orders: At this time, MOCAD is unable to provide return shipping labels for international orders. Return shipping must be paid by the buyer in order to return a package from locations outside of the US. The buyer will be responsible for any additional customs fees, duties, or taxes.

 

Refunds

Once we receive your returned item, our team will review your request and inspect the item. We will send you an email to confirm that we’ve received your item and are processing your request. We’ll follow up with another email once the request has been processed to let you know if your return was approved.

If approved, the money will be refunded to your original method of payment within two weeks. Banks and credit card companies differ in the amount of time it takes to process and post a transaction, so you can expect it to take a few business days for the refund to show up on your bank statement. Please allow 5-7 business days from the refund confirmation date before reaching out to follow up.
