Intentionally Mindful, issue #12, brings together a group of artists from distinct backgrounds, stories, and mediums.-- This is an attempt to tell a story about themselves and what they do, how they see and understand the meaning of thriving and moving forward to a more equitable and peaceful place to coexist. I am incredibly grateful to CultureSource for making this opportunity available and providing a chance to work with Precious and Jetshri and have funds to pay artists for their contributions. Also thanks to The Andy Warhol Foundation for continuing to spread its wings and fund local organizations that support and believe in individual artists to make a change. This year marks Barbed’s tenth anniversary, and as we move toward the future, I want to ensure we always look for transformation and reinvention.
