Barry Hoyabembe is originally from Michigan. He strives to use 100% recycled materials in his works. He is drawn to weathered textures, vintage lettering and signage. He generally find materials on the curb, in abandoned spaces, or in dumpsters. Barry has painted a lot in the past, but recently has moved towards welding, woodworking, and hand binding books. Functionality has become a focus. Bringing joy to people through the things he create, whether its a silly drawing that makes one laugh, or a space that is designed for creative interaction, is satisfying. Variety is important to him, with living, habits, and creating.
